Meghan + Spencer | Classic Meets Contemporary Wedding at Hotel Monaco, Pittsburgh
From Meghan’s simple gown with Art Deco earrings, silk blue runners and classic meets contemporary wedding vibes, this special day was the epitome of class and elegance.
There aren’t enough kind words to describe Meghan and Spencer. When I met them in November at our first venue tour, I could see how much they loved each other. This gorgeous and kind hearted couple met at Pitt while attending med school.
Fast forward a few years later and the rest was history. Meghan and Spencer’s day was a fusion of classic meets modern and we couldn’t think of a better location than Hotel Monaco. The classic architecture and contemporary finishes set the backdrop to their muted color palette.
Meghan’s clean and classic look and elegant dress made her a clean image of Grace Kelly with modern pops of color through her accessories. Her long veil was perfect in the breeze as she greeted Spencer for their first look on the rooftop of Hotel Monaco.
Their ceremony space was framed with large columns of white flowers and Italian ruscus from Karrie Hlista Designs.
Inside the ballroom, mixed metals complimented the muted color tones of peach, blue and white. Each guests place setting had a lavender sprig as a nod to Spencer and Meghan. Blue silk runners from Tone + Co softly framed tables while tall cascading florals complimented the beautiful tall ceilings.
Our favorite moment of the day was their first look when they met each other on the roof top around their family and friends, and then again when we finally revealed the ballroom - with all their mixed metals and muted neutral floral tones.
Guests were treated to a full course menu and danced the night away to DJ Andrew Smith. As a sweet treat at the end of the night, everyone left with Macarons from Tasty Bakery. This was the perfect start to our 2019 wedding season - the sweetest couple in one of our favorite locations.
