Kathleen + Baylor | Slate Pittsburgh Wedding
At twist of jazzy vintage modern in this Slate, Pittsburgh Wedding
When I first met Kathleen and Baylor, it was evident they wanted their intimate wedding to be one that guests would talk about for some time. Kathleen’s wanted her venue to compliment the venue, Slate Studio in the Strip District. From there, the design and vision took off.
Their late September wedding allowed for deeper hues of red and pink for the early fall season, and Community Floral Shop wowed us with their work of dark hued florals. These beautiful floras adorned the cocktail tables and the moon arch from Vintage Alley rentals, which —along with burgundy lounge that greeted guests—served as the backdrop to their ceremony.
Slate’s ghost chairs brought a modern flair to the venue and we adorned their in-house farm tables with burgundy napkins and greenery to add a romantic touch. Kathleen and Baylor’s sweetheart table was centered with a gorgeous chandelier from Gray Phoenix.
Kathleen’s dress from Carlie’s Bridal was a gorgeous lace overlay with illusion necklace. It looked stunning as she walked down the aisle together with her mom to “Can’t Help Falling In Love with You'.”
Guests enjoyed the dinner stations from Kimberlee Ashley Catering and danced to the Boogie Bustlers band, which was hand picked by the groom himself. Finally, a series of delicious cakes from The Butterwood Bake Consortium were the perfect ending to the day.
Kathleen and Baylor’s love of family and celebrating the little moments was a true reflection of who they are as a couple. We couldn’t have been more lucky to be a part of their wedding day.
