Kathleen + Baylor | Slate
When I first met Kathleen and Baylor, it was evident they wanted their intimate wedding to be one that guests would talk about for some time. Kathleen’s description of what she wanted her venue to look like was a perfect fit at Slate Studio in the Strip District. From there, the design and vision took off.
Their late September wedding allowed us to play with deeper hues of red and pink for the early fall season, and Community Floral Shop wowed us with their work of dark hued florals adorned perfectly on the cocktail tables and the beautiful moon arch from Vintage Alley rentals that served as the backdrop to their ceremony in addition to the burgundy lounge that greeted guests.
Slate’s ghost chairs brought a modern flair to the venue and we adorned their in house farm tables with burgundy napkins and greenery to create a romantic and ambient feel. Kathleen and Baylor’s sweet heart table was centered with a gorgeous chandelier from Gray Phoenix.
Kathleen’s dress from Carlie’s Bridal was gorgeous lace overlay with illusion necklace and and her mom walked down the aisle together to “Can’t Help Falling In Love with You'.”
Guests enjoyed interactive dinner stations from Kimberlee Ashley Catering and dancing with from the Boogie Bustlers band, who was hand picked from the groom himself. For dessert, a series of delicious cakes from The Butterwood Bake Consortium was the perfect ending to the day.
Kathleen and Baylor’s love of family and celebrating the little moments was a true reflection of who they are as a couple and we couldn’t have been more lucky to be a part of their wedding day.
