Pablo Neruda Inspired Styled Shoot
Inspired by Sonnet XVII by Pablo Neruda, we teamed up with some amazing vendors to create this enchanting, organic, fine art styled shoot. Much like the poem, we wanted this shoot to showcase the natural beauty of love and how it is organic like nature.
Warm shades and earth tones provided an airy feel, while beautiful unstructured floral designs placed throughout the venue replicated the idea of love growing. Although there were a lot of natural elements showcased, we incorporated the topaz that Pablo Neruda spoke of through the use of the bride wearing a blue hued boho-chic dress, also showcasing how each love is different.
The design of the mantel was easily our favorite part of the shoot. We wanted to make it look as though the fireplace was exploding with greenery and flowers. It is a great way for brides to see that you can take something as simple as a fireplace and not only make it unique, but transform it into something different, such as a backdrop for a wedding ceremony.
Gold leafing amongst the deep blue background of the stationery provided a fluid, ethereal vibe and as a tribute to Pablo Neruda, most of the desserts were of Mexican and Chilean descent. In every styled shoot that Exhale does, we try to incorporate a personal touch. For this styled shoot, it was the napkin rings, which we created out of copper and gemstones. It was a delicate detail, yet looked so stunning paired with the rest of the table décor.
For all of our styled shoots up until this one, we’ve only had real couples be our models because they had the best chemistry. But our two models for this shoot were awesome. They really came together, embraced the poem, and went with it.
Thanks to Dawn Derbyshire for capturing all the magic perfectly and to each vendor who brought this poem and vision to life!
