Boho California Inspired Styled Shoot
Boho charm mixed with vintage glam is what has us loving everything about this Fall California Boho inspired styled shoot. The real inspiration of this shoot was the venue itself – Chatham University Eden Hall Campus. This location is very eco-friendly, all about being green, and using what you have as your resources.
We took this idea and ran with it combining earth’s natural elements with bright floral colors that California has to offer. Acrylic signs were used for table numbers and the centerpiece to mimic glass, while copper and wood accents along with plates that had clay-like features brought out the beauty in the elevated wedding tablescape, all while being raw and natural. Fruit and moss were also showcased around the table setting to incorporate more earthy elements.
The ceremony was set on a circular floating stage to represent the earth’s rotations. Teepees and dream catchers were incorporated into the wedding ceremony design to relate back to earlier times in the world. This wedding backdrop was truly brought to life by real life couple Jenna and Mateo who were the perfect models for this styled shoot. Greenery was incorporated into Jenna’s breathtaking wedding dress with lace and tulle detailing for an organic feel and Mateo’s laid back, yet sophisticated attire complimented her look perfectly. Mateo is from Italy and the way he spoke to Jenna in Italian all day, just may have been our favorite thing. What can we say, we love, love!
The idea that love starts with deep roots and grows like all things in nature grow, summarizes this theme completely. We are so obsessed with the every photo captured by Kaitlin Powell Photography and with all of the work from all of the incredible vendors who contributed to this shoot. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
